Once upon a time, when the construction of Śrī Caitanya Maṭha was almost complete, then Śrīla Prabhupāda Bhakti Siddhānta Sarasvatī Gosvāmī Ṭhākura took decision to go to Jaipur to bring deities to be installed there in Caitanya Maṭha. On reaching Jaipur he went to the market of deities to search out some choiceful matching combination of deities (Śrī Śrī Rādhā-Govinda Deva) but he did not find such suitable matching deities, then he took decision to give order for those mūrtis (deities). Suddenly he could see a ready-made pair of right-matching combination of deities (I mean Śrī Śrī Rādhā-Govinda) in a shop. He wanted to take inquiry about the pair of deities from the owner of the shop, but he was informed by the owner that the pair already sold before. Then with broken heart, Śrīla Prabhupāda went out of the shop to take a rickshaw to go back to his tent (the rented place). But that night Śrī Śrī Rādhā-Govinda mūrtis (I mean the pair what he saw in the shop) came in the dream of the owner of the shop to say that “We both like to go to the sādhu Mahārāja who came today noon time to take us for his temple, please allow us to go with him.” Then the owner of the shop started searching the whole Jaipur town (especially the adjacent area of Śrī Śrī Govinda Deva Mandir—where usually those Gauḍīya sādhus stay when coming in Jaipur). Finally, he was successful to trace out the very famous Gauḍīya sādhu ācārya—Śrī Śrīla Bhakti Siddhānta Sarasvatī Gosvāmī Ṭhākura Prabhupāda—to speak out the fact in front of him and requested him (Śrīla Prabhupāda) to take the pair of deities with very cheerful mood and Śrīla Prabhupāda was very very happy to accept the offer. Gaura mūrti was made at Navadvīpa-dhāma to install inside the deity room of Śrī Caitanya Maṭha.
