Bhaktivinod Dhara and Anti Bhaktivinod Side (Bimala Prasad & Lalit Prasad) - Part 3

Updated: Jan 21

All glories to Śrī Śrī Guru-Gauranga

By sampradāya-saṁrakṣaka Śrī Śyām Dās Babajī Mahārāja

Gauḍīya Goṣṭhī Pati Śrī Śrīla Bhakti Siddhānta Sarasvatī Gosvāmī Ṭhākura Prabhupāda said that— “In the name of hari-bhajana, hari-kathā those who are misguiding the whole world, to get cheated by them has become the divine dispensation of the age (the usual fashion or tendency of the age).” We want to be cheated, so we become cheated. (From The Upadeśāmṛta

Śrīla Bhakti Siddhānta Sarasvatī Gosvāmī Ṭhākura Prabhupāda wrote that— “After the time of Śrī Caitanya Mahāprabhu, those faithful to Him kept apart from non-devotees, to avoid contamination. Seeing this, the personality of Kali sent his representatives in disguise to pollute the Vaiṣṇava sampradāya. Posing as Vaiṣṇavas, they spread their wicked doctrines, and appeared so intelligent and devoted that only pure devotees could detect their real identity. “ (Sajana Toshani 18.2.13-14)

Again, we can see Śrīla Prabhupāda has written in his article ‘Initiation into spiritual life’ which was also printed in Sajjana Toshini that— “If we guide ourselves by our own energy we shall come across the pseudo-gurus, and being caught hold of by them by their temporary pleasing manners, run down to hell. Śrī Kṛṣṇa himself helps us in finding the really good preceptor in two ways. In the first place he instructs us as regards the character and functions of a great preceptor through the revealed sastras. In the second place he himself sends to us the good preceptor at the right moment when we are at all likely to benefit by his instructions.”

Now question can arise that why Śrīman Mahāprabhu wanted to misguide His own great eternal pārṣada Śrīla Saccidananda Bhaktivinod Ṭhākura. The most perfect or accurate divine answer is this—that Śrīman Mahāprabhu wanted to deliver Bipin Bihari Ji (prākṛta sahajiyā) by the help of Śrīla Saccidananda Bhaktivinod Ṭhākura His eternal pārṣada, so naturally on the pretext of taking dīkṣā from him (Bipin Bihari Ji) Śrīla Ṭhākura Bhaktivinod was bound to approach him to accept him as guru. So accordingly, as a formal rule he was bound to worship and glorify him as his spiritual master (photo copy evidence given below). So, we think that was only a formal courtesy and nothing else, otherwise how only a seven years old boy like Śrīla Bimala Prasad could detect his sahajiyāism? Argument can only increase argument; no solution can be found. Why Śrīman Mahāprabhu on the pretext of taking dīkṣā from Śrī  Īśvara Purīpad actually initiated him at Śrī Gāya-dhāma, and also why on the pretext of taking sannyāsa vrata from Kesava Bharati at Katwa he wanted to give sannyāsa to him? We must consider those points with full sincerity. Really so, the whole līlā of Śrīman Mahāprabhu can give the exact evidence of the fact. This is the most surprising sportive nature of Śrī Kṛṣṇa or Śrī Kṛṣṇa Caitanya Mahāprabhu which is quite natural. We would like to suggest you to put all the divine works of The Prabhupāda Śrī Bimala Prasad Sarasvatī—like all of his written books and articles or commentaries etc. together with all those countless divine firing speeches by him on one side and please try to put all the works of Lalita Prasad Ji, I mean what all he has written in his whole life together with all of his speeches on the other side, then automatically you can understand very easily that Śrīla Prabhupāda—The Eternal gaura pārṣada was a super divine genius personality—who can never be compared with anybody except he himself, so it is really useless to try to establish the supremacy of Lalit Prasad Ji over Bimala Prasad Sarasvatī, because it will be a childish effort on your part.

Anyone having any link (whatsoever) with Bipin Bihari Ji must be a fallen soul, no doubt in it. That was the only reason for why Śrīla Bhaktivinod Ṭhākura advised Śrīla Bimala Prasad to take shelter of Paramahaṁsa Gaura Kishor Das Babaji Mahārāj, whereas he himself could initiate him but to cut the link-line with Bipin Bihari he was bound to do so. We know that Śrī Harinam Dikhsa was already given by he himself long ago to him. And later on Śrīla Bimala Prasad Sarasvatī was given the very special personal Japamala (Tulasi Japa Mala) of Śrīla Saccidananda Bhaktivinod Ṭhākura with an advice to go to Braja Pattan (Śrīdhāma Mayapur, Śrī Chandra Shekar Acharya Bhavan which is known as Śrī Caitanya Maṭha at present) to start śata-koṭi-nāma-yajña together with full blessings. Of course, later on such śata-koṭi-nāma-yajña was also performed by him at Śrī Yoga-pīṭha Śrī Mandir and also at Chatak Parvat Nīlācala-dhāma. Anyway at Śrī Braja Pattan (Śrī  dhāma Mayapur Chandra Shekar Acharya Bhavan) while doing śata-koṭi-nāma-yajña he was directly instructed by the pañca-tattva together with Gauḍīya guru-varga to go for worldwide preaching sevā mission—with an assurance to send him all man power and money power etc. whatsoever need for the divine purpose.

Śrīla Saccidananda Bhaktivinod Ṭhākura wanted to erase the name and link with such a so-called sahajiyā guru like Bipin Bihari ji. Anyway, all the time, I mean all the way Śrīla Prabhupāda accepted Śrīla Saccidananda Bhakivinod Ṭhākura as his absolutely ideal Guru (who is non-different from his Paramahaṁsa Gurudeva Gaura Kisore das Babaji), though he took initiation from Paramahaṁsa Śrīla Gaura Kishore Das Babaji Mahārāj by the advice by Śrīla Saccidananda Bhakti Vinod Ṭhākura, what wrong in it? Original guru tattva being an undivided tattva – surely guru- tattva is one and the same. No divisive or separative mentality can stand in the way of divine guru-tattva. From Śrīmad-Bhāgavatam 11.17.27 sloka it is very clear which is in favour of that absolute siddhānta vichar.

ācāryaṁ māṁ vijānīyān

navamanyeta karhicit

na martya-buddhyāsūyeta

sarva-deva-mayo guruḥ                                                        (ŚB 11.17.27)

One should know the ācārya as I Myself and should never disrespect him in any way. One should not envy him, thinking him an ordinary man, for he is the representative of all the demigods.

Also from Gurvaṣṭakam written by Śrīla Visvanath Chakrabarty Ṭhākura we can see the following verse which can advocate the same siddhānta vichar

sākṣād-dharitvena samasta-śāstrair

uktas tathā bhāvyata eva sadbhiḥ

kintu prabhor yaḥ priya eva tasya

vande guroḥ śrī-caraṇāravindam                                      (Gurvaṣṭakam-7)

The spiritual master is to be honoured as much as the Supreme Lord, because he is the most confidential servitor of the Lord. This is acknowledged in all revealed scriptures and followed by all those divine authorities. Therefore, I offer my respectful obeisances unto the lotus feet of such a spiritual master, who is a bona fide representative of Śrī Hari [Kṛṣṇa].

The dīkṣā name of Śrīla Prabhupāda Bhakti Siddhānta Sarasvatī Gosvāmī Ṭhākura was given as ‘Varshabhanavi Daita Das’. If at all Śrīla Saccidananda Bhaktivinod Ṭhākura was dissatisfied with him then such a great divine success would not have been possible for him (Śrīla Bimala Prasad) to achieve. Also, we know that some devotees left Bipin Bihari Ji after realizing his sahajiyāism to take shelter unto the Lotus feet of Paramahaṁsa Guru Śrīla Bhakti Siddhānta Sarasvatī Gosvāmī Ṭhākura like Śrīla Bhakti Vivek Bharati Gosvāmī Mahārāj etc. Śrīla Saccidananda Bhaktivonod Ṭhākura received the title “Bhaktivinod Ṭhākura” from Śrīpat Bhagnabhara by the divine desire of Śrīman Nityananda Prabhu, what he has confessed in his autobiography and also a reply by him was send to Bhagnapara Śrīpat in the following way—………………………………………………………………………………….

(Photo copy of the book Kedarnath Datta written by B.N. Vharadraj Prof. published from Śrī Caitanya research institute Kolkata)

(Please get it translated by somebody for your understanding)

……..but it is strange that nowhere in his (Śrīla Kedernath-Bhaktivinod Ṭhākura) Autobiography the name Bipin Bihari Ji can be found. A very very close personal assistant of Ṭhākura – Paṇḍita Satkodi Chattopadhya has written a book on behalf of Bhaktivinod-smṛti committee in English in the year of 1916, where we can find the following comment by him at page No. 14 that— “Ṭhākura formally received his initiation at Narail (at present at Bangladesh) from a decedent of Janava family (?) of Bhagnapara.” Of course, this cannot be denied that Śrīla Ṭhākura glorified him (Bipin Bihari Ji) as his guru (?) in one or two places like Amrita Prabaha Bhasya of Śrī Caitanya-caritāmṛta or Bhagavad Arca Marici Mala something about his guru which we have already mentioned before.

Śrīla Prabhupāda Bimala Sarasvatī used to say that— “Māyādevī cannot allow us to become niskapat”. How extremely deep mutual loveful relationship was there between Śrīla Prabhupāda  (Bimala Prasad) and Śrīla Gaura Kisore Das Babaji Mahārāj or Śrīla Saccidannada Bhaktivinod Ṭhākura, no offender can realize this point by the application of their material brain. Only by watching the physical or material gaping (or distance) of Śrīla Prabhupāda from his Gurudeva Śrīla Gaura Kisore das Babaji Mahārāj or Śrīla Saccidananda Bhaktivinod Ṭhākura – one should not pass any dirty remarks like your group has done. The divine relationship of Śrīla Prabhupāda with Śrīla Paramahaṁsa Babaji Mahārāj or Śrīla Saccidananda Bhaktivinod Ṭhākura was all the same according to the undivided unique guru-tattva. One can think otherwise, but they should remember that just like the case of Śrīla Narottama das Ṭhākura Mahāśaya who was externally far away from his Gurudeva Śrīla Lokanath Gosvāmīpad, but still he was so closely and mutually harmonized with his Gurudeva that nobody can even imagine, because this is really far beyond human comprehension. Any material or physical gaping in relation to time-space or matter cannot stand in the way of aprākṛta vichar, especially when one can become ‘guru devatatma’. Apparently Śrīla Lokanath Gosvāmī was busy with his exclusive solitary bhajan, whereas Śrīla Narottama Ṭhākura Mahāśaya used to do exclusive preaching sevā to make so many disciples to deliver them from the trap of Māyā. Also, apparently Śrīla Gaura Kishore Das Babaji Mahārāj was busy with his solitary bhajan, whereas Śrīla Prabhupāda was engaged in extensive preaching sevā like Śrīla Narottama das Ṭhākura Mahāśaya. Remember that when bhajan and preaching become of the same significance, then one can become a real Acharya in true sense, not before that. Really this is very very rare, so rare so that a foolish group like yours cannot realise this point at all. Only by quoting one or two favourable (suitable) slokas from Śrī Caitanya-caritāmṛta you like to prove that Lalita Prasad Ji has done some manobhista sevā of Śrī Gaurāṅga Deva, but you completely forget that Śrīman Mahāprabhu was completely (or deadly) against sahajiyāism. A tree can be known by the fruits it bears. All authentic shastras can jointly advocate in favour of The Prabhupāda and his divine activities like writing countless books and articles or commentaries or countless fire like hari-kathās to deliver all bonded souls out of his causeless mercy. Yukta-vairāgya is the most secret sevā technique of Śrīmāti Rādhārāṇī which is not even known to Chandravali Devī, then how you can know? All Maṭha-Mandirs etc. are external vaibhavas – everything is for the absolute satisfaction of the Supreme Lord, so naturally Śrīla Prabhupāda was the absolute niṣkiñcana Personality even after establishing 64 Maṭhas, no doubt in it at all. Śrīla Sārvabhauma Bhaṭṭācārya ultimately by the causeless mercy of Śrī Kṛṣṇa Caitanya Mahāprabhu was absolutely inspired to write the following verse after realizing the absolute glories of Śrīman Mahāprabhu—

vairāgya-vidyā-nija-bhakti-yoga-

śikṣārtham ekaḥ puruṣaḥ purāṇaḥ

śrī-kṛṣṇa-caitanya-śarīradhārī

kṛpāmbudhir yas tam ahaṁ prapady       (Śri Caitanya Satakam)

Let me take shelter of the Supreme Personality of Godhead, Śrī Kṛṣṇa, who has descended in the form of Lord Caitanya Mahāprabhu to teach us real knowledge, His devotional service and detachment can help us develop Kṛṣṇa consciousness. He has descended because He is an ocean of transcendental mercy. Let me surrender unto His Lotus Feet.

The most controversial issue about the mutual comparison in between Śrīla Bimala Prasad and Lalita Prasad Ji is so clean or clear that even a small boy can understand the most negative position of Lalita Prasad Ji in which he was put into to do solitary bhajan whole life. Whole life he wanted to maintain ‘son-father’ relationship with Śrīla Saccidananda Bhaktivinod Ṭhākura, whereas Śrīla Bimala Prasad Sarasvatī never thought that way at all, rather he always used to say that— “Whenever I look at the Lotus feet of Śrīla Saccidananda Bhaktivinod Ṭhākura, I can see the absolutely divine beauty of the Lotus Feet of Śrīmāti Rādhārāṇī, nothing else”. Only and only this most basic simple conceptional darśanik vichar can solve the most critical longstanding problem in favour of the great gauda pārṣada Śrīla Bhakti Siddhānta Sarasvatī Gosvāmī Ṭhākura Prabhupāda unanimously. Never try to overlook this most vital point. A real sadhu can be detected only by watching his sampradāya niṣṭhā, guru niṣṭhā and siddhānta vāṇī vaibhava protection niṣṭhā, but none of the above three you can show in the whole life of Lalita Prasad Ji. Still, you are shouting unnecessarily.
