One of the most important sannyāsi disciple who was a very close or intimate servitor of Śrīla Prabhupāda—named Tridaṇḍī Svāmī Bhakti Hṛdaya Vana Gosvāmī Mahārāja who was also Prabhupāda’s most famous missionary preacher, and he dedicated his entire celibate life to the personal service and mission of his Gurudeva. Śrīla Vana Gosvāmī Mahārāja spent lot of his personal time with Śrīla Prabhupāda Bhakti Siddhānta Sarasvatī Ṭhākura, and he could remember many personal incidents in the jivan līlā of Śrīla Prabhupāda, one such incident are given below for your kind information.
On one occasion Śrīla Vana Gosvāmī Mahārāja was alone with Śrīla Sarasvatī Ṭhākura Prabhupāda at the rooftop of the Gauḍīya Maṭh during a cloudy night. Śrīla Vana Gosvāmī noticed that Śrīla Prabhupāda remained silent and was looking up at the night sky for a very long period. Svāmī Vana was just worried that Śrīla Prabhupāda strain his neck, so he asked Śrīla Prabhupāda about the reason for why he continued to look at the night sky. Śrīla Prabhupāda replied that he had looked up and seen a star and that he must find and see another star before look down. With his (Śrīla Prabhupāda’s) head up looking at the sky he explained to Śrīla Vana Gosvāmī Mahārāja that if you see the moon or any single star in the sky, then it is important that you must see another star before looking down again. To fail to do so would bring ill fortune. Also Śrīla Prabhupāda used to say (as a great Astrological personality) to see the moon on the fourth day after pūrṇimā would bring defame (or blame) or acquisition against anyone who will do so. He personally told to Śrīla Vana Mahārāja that Lord Kṛṣṇa had once seen the fourth day of the waning moon (though this was simply a līlā in the life of Śrīla Prabhupāda who used to believe that Lord Kṛṣṇa is the cause of all causes and at the same time his life was completely dedicated for the service of Śrī Kṛṣṇa) while residing at Dwarka Dhāma and that was the real reason for why Śrī Kṛṣṇa was falsely accused of stealing the samantaka jewel (ruby).
