Śrīla Prabhupāda in his boyhood in course of learning Veda-Vedānta-Vedāṅga—Sanskrit Vyākaraṇa (grammar) was a must, so under the teachership of paṇḍita Prithvi Dhar Sharma he started learning ‘Siddhānta Kaumudī’. The teacher paṇḍita started praising the amazing supernatural talent of the boy and advised him to go on following Sanskrit Vyākaraṇa anuśīlana, but the small boy answered him that— “My life is completely dedicated for Śrī Kṛṣṇa śikṣā anuśīlana, not for Vyākaraṇa anuśīlana, only as a supporting subject I have accepted Veda-Vedānta or Vedāṅga (Sanskrit Vyākaraṇa) and for nothing else.
