No Enmity, Only Solution – Part 3

An apology letter for being forced to write this specific book called “No enmity, only solution”

(From the whole Sarasvat Gauḍīya Vaiṣṇava saṅga and Visva Vaiṣṇava Raja-Sabhā)

By sampradāya-saṁrakṣaka Śrī Śyām Dās Babajī Mahārāj

Date: 08.07.2025

Gauḍīya Goṣṭhī Pati Śrī Śrīla Bhakti Siddhānta Sarasvatī Gosvāmī Ṭhākura Prabhupāda Paramahaṁsa Jagad guru said that: “To keep silence while Guru and Vaiṣṇavas are being insulted is a deadly offense, which can result in falling down.”

A Vaiṣṇava guru can bear any amount of torture or insult directed towards himself but he cannot bear any insult or torture of his own guru nor of any member of Vaiṣṇava Parampara. To give an appropriate answer to any eventual antagonists and to protect and preserve the divine dignity of our guru-varga is part of what we call bhakti. This is the most vital duty of any responsible Gauḍīya devotee, especially those who are playing the role of ācāryas, which can never be ignored by any of us.

From Śrīmad-Bhāgavatam fourth Canto Dakṣa jajña topics we know how Vaiṣṇava Raj Śambhu was unnecessarily insulted by Prajāpati Dakṣa. And how, for this reason of Vaiṣṇava nindā Bhāgavatī Devī left her body by the help of yoga agni. The teachings left by her before leaving body all are really very remarkable for everybody, especially for the Vaiṣṇavas.

Also, we can remember how Śrīla Rāmānuja Ācārya, the great Jagad Guru left his wife forever because she insulted his Gurudeva (Maha Pūrṇa) and Ramanuja has given us the following instruction about how to avoid those Vaiṣṇava aparādhīs (offenders).

Śrīla Rāmānuja Ācārya the great Bhagavat pārṣada said: “If you fail to rectify your dirty character or your imperfect behaviour, then search for a sādhu Vaiṣṇava and just sit in front of him, and simply by watching his śuddha acharan you will get a chance to rectify yourself. Stay in the company with the Vaiṣṇavas and supreme wisdom will illuminate your heart and you will finally attain perfection. Carefully avoid the company of any enemy of the Vaiṣṇavas. Do never talk with them.”

We could list here countless evidences from the śāstras to prove that Vaiṣṇava nindā is unbearable.

Even Śrīla Jīva Gosvāmīpad wanted to protect and preserve the divine dignity of his Gurudeva Śrīla Rūpa Gosvāmīpad when Śrīla Vallabha Ācārya out of his false ego wanted to express the audacity of editing the writings (Śrī Rasāmṛta-sindhu) of Śrīla Rūpa Gosvāmīpad. Śrīla Jīva Gosvāmīpad without any delay or hesitation protested against him (Śrīla Vallabha Ācārya) by asking: “What fault did you see in Srila Rupa Gosvamipad’s writing, that you wanted to rectify them?"

Finally, Śrīla Vallabha Ācārya he was astounded to see the profound knowledge of the young Śrīla Jīva Gosvāmīpad. He was simply speechless in front of him. If Śrīla Jīva Gosvāmī could not tolerate the audacity of a personality like Śrīla Vallabha Ācārya when he expressed the desire to edit Śrī Rasāmṛta-sindhu written by his gurudev (Śrīla Rūpa Gosvāmīpad), how can we tolerate those cruel and sarcastic comments against Gauḍīya Maṭha and Gauḍīya Maṭha sādhus published in different books and writings or speeches by ISKCON society?

We know that Śrīla Prabhupāda Gauḍīya Goṣṭhī Pati Paramahaṁsa Ācāryavarya could not tolerate the derogatory remarks passed by a so-called Rādhā-kuṇḍa Pāṇḍa against Śrīla Raghunath das Gosvāmīpad who claimed that: “Śrīla Raghunath das took birth in a low cast so he used to touch the lotus feet of our Brajavasi forefathers” from that moment on Srila Prabhupada started fasting avoiding water and prasādam with the intention to leave his own body. The problem was finally solved, when that same pāṇḍa came to Śrīla Prabhupāda to beg for pardon. So it is our vital responsibility, for sure, to protect and preserve the divine dignity of Śrī Gauḍīya Maṭha and Gauḍīya Maṭha sādhus (our Sarasvat Gauḍīya guru-varga) because otherwise we can go to hell.

ISKCON cannot deny a fundamental link with Gauḍīya Maṭha, because originally that society came out of Śrī Gauḍīya Maṭha. Can anyone deny this fact? How can one deny his navel connection with the mother from whom he took birth? We never had or have any enmity with ISKCON, whereas we suddenly discover that your society is deadly against Śrī Gauḍīya Maṭha. We Gauḍīya devotees are the followers of Śrī Kṛṣṇa Caitanya Mahāprabhu and His tṛṇād api sunīc bhava in applied form (not only theoretically) so it is our duty to bear any audacity, but as per scriptural instructions in this case, if we don’t say anything against such untruthful remarks, then we would be also committing aparadha.

We can read in Śrī Caitanya-caritāmṛta the strict instructions of Śrīmān Mahāprabhu about how to protect and preserve the divine dignity of Guru and Vaiṣṇavas:

yadyapio tumi hao jagat-pāvana

tomā-sparśe pavitra haya deva-muni-gaṇa

tathāpi bhakta-svabhāva — maryādā-rakṣaṇa

maryādā-pālana haya sādhura bhūṣaṇa                             (C.c. Antya 4.129-130)

My dear Sanātana, although you are the deliverer of the entire universe and although even the demigods and great saints are purified by touching you, it is the characteristic of a devotee to observe and protect the Vaiṣṇava etiquette. Maintenance of the Vaiṣṇava etiquette is the ornament of a devotee.

maryādā-laṅghane loka kare upahāsa

iha-loka, para-loka — dui haya nāśa                                   (C.c. Antya 4.131)

If one transgresses the laws of etiquette, people make fun of him, and thus he is vanquished in both this world and the next.

maryādā rākhile, tuṣṭa kaile mora mana

tumi aiche nā karile kare kon jana?                                       (C.c. Antya 4.132)

By observing the etiquette, you have satisfied Me. Who else but you could show this example?

Gaura Hari Hari Bol
