The tāṇḍava-nṛtya (dance of complete destruction) already started in our Gauḍīya bhajana field

Śrīla Saccidānanda Bhaktivinod Ṭhākura has said in his Bhakti-tattva-viveka— “Unfortunately in contemporary society, in the name of śuddha-bhakti various types of mixed devotion such as karma-miśrā (mixed with fruitive action), jñāna-miśrā (mixed with speculative knowledge), and yoga-miśrā (mixed with yoga processes), as well as various impure and imaginary notions, are spreading everywhere like the germs of a plague. People in general consider these contaminated and mixed approaches to be bhakti and respect them as such. Thus they remain deprived of śuddha-bhakti. These polluted and mixed conceptions are our greatest enemies. Some people say that there is no value in bhakti, that God is an imaginary sentiment only, that man has merely created the image of a God in his imagination, and that bhakti is a pestilent state of consciousness, which in no way can benefit us. Though opposed to bhakti, such people cannot much harm us because we can easily recognize and avoid them. But those who propagate that bhagavad-bhakti is the highest dharma yet behave contrary to the principles of śuddha-bhakti, and instruct others against those principles, can be especially harmful, for ultimately, they lead us onto a path totally contrary to bhagavad-bhakti. Therefore, the previous ācāryas have scrutinizingly defined the intrinsic nature of bhakti and repeatedly cautioned us to avoid polluted and mixed conceptions.”

Specially we can see that nowadays so many politicians in the dress of Vaiṣṇava have entered the sacred area of Gauḍīya Maṭha. Even though Gauḍīya Goṣṭhi Pati Śrī Śrīla Bhakti Siddhānta Sarasvatī Gosvāmī Ṭhākur Prabhupāda was deadly against any kind of politics or any politician, viewing them as entangled in temporary, material affairs which only distracts one from the ultimate goal of life. He always strongly emphasized that the true purpose of life is to serve the Supreme Lord, and that political and social reforms, while seemingly beneficial, were ultimately fleeting and lacked the power to solve the root problems of the material world. Śrīla Prabhupāda further used to say that— "The world is in no need of any reformer. What is necessary is to change our outlook to this very world. The person who finds that there is scope for reform of the world, himself stands in need of reform. The world goes on in its own perfect way. No person can deflect it by the breadth of a hair from the course chalked out for it by providence."

Śrīla Prabhupāda’s view was that the only lasting reform comes from individual spiritual transformation, not from external political or social movements.

It is really a matter of great regret that almost all the Maṭhas and temples nowadays have become dirty or dangerous places of politics. Otherwise how is it possible that such missions which all are completely opposite to Gauḍīya Maṭha in all respect already has started joining Śrī Gauḍīya Maṭha—the symbol of absolute purity which was always proved by The Prabhupāda? All those politicians in the guise of devotees have already started working jointly with those so-called missions for their labha-pūja-pratiṣṭhā to destroy Śrī Gauḍīya Maṭha – which was started by the Prabhupāda. Those so-called devotees are full of malice and extremely driven by their passionate nature to destroy the whole system of Gauḍīya Maṭha. They always want to bring the absolutely divine standard of Śrī Gauḍīya Maṭha or Śrī Gauḍīya Mission into a flat level to prove that all are the same with all other missionary efforts. Surely this is deadly harmful for the whole devotional field of this world. The present horrible situation can show us the sign of great destruction (tāṇḍava nṛtya) – all around the world. Who can claim to be the follower of The Prabhupāda or Śrīla Saccidānanda Bhaktivinod Ṭhākur or Śrī Gauḍīya Maṭha by selling all the divine treasure of Śrī Gauḍīya Maṭha in the hand of those traitor demons? This way none of them can attain maṅgala in infinite lifetime, nor they can arrange maṅgala for others. Uncontrolled situation of this whole Gauḍīya devotional world can be compared with the reckless driving by anyone, for which horrible accident is a must—no doubt in it. Those shameless antagonists went on indulging in corruption all the way to bring defame in the name of aprakṛta Śrī Gauḍīya Maṭha or Mission—which is the absolute symbol of purity-trust and faith, so at present some negative situation prevailing all around the Gauḍīya devotional field all over the world. This is the fact that those traitor leaders having dangerous passionate destructive mood, always busy making huge business field to arrange labha-pūja-pratiṣṭhā for themselves by negative preaching technique in front of those common public to convince them about their own honesty and purity as great leader of this devotional world, I mean they always want to establish their authenticity, because they are less interested about the divine dignity of our whole Sarasvat Gauḍīya Vaiṣṇava sampradāya due to their dirty business mood or dirty political mood. The Prabhupāda very often used to say that— “To arrest the current perverted tide of this fanatic world is the seemingly unpleasant duty of Śrī Gauḍīya Maṭha.” That is the only reason for why Śrī Gauḍīya Maṭha and those pure devotees of Gauḍīya Maṭha cannot get popularity at all, those who are completely dedicated unto the Lotus feet of Śrī Gaurāṅga Deva and are absolutely interested to embrace that absolute truth, only they can get the absolute benefit, not everybody. Gauḍīya Goṣṭhi Pati Śrī Śrīla Bhakti Siddhānta Sarasvatī Gosvāmī Ṭhākur Prabhupāda said that— “The time from when all those Māyāvādīs in the guise of devotees started joining Śrī Gauḍīya Maṭha, all problems started.” So this is the miserable situation at present. By this word Māyāvādī Śrīla Prabhupāda wanted to say – those who are having no faith in Guru-Vaiṣṇava-Bhagavān-Nāma-Dhāma etc., that’s why he said that— “More or less almost all of us are contaminated with Māyāvād-vicār.” Because anyway we have not 100% faith in Guru-Vaiṣṇava-Bhagavān-Nāma-Dhāma-Līlā etc. He further used to say that— “A man devoid of anugatya is no more than a beast.”
