All glories to Śrī Śrī Guru and Gaurāṅga!

Vancanamaya lila and Aparadhamaya lila— both are completely different from each other.

Śrī Śrīla Shyām Dāsa Bābā Mahārāja

Gauḍīya Goṣṭhipati Śrī Śrīla Bhakti Siddhānta Sarasvatī Gosvāmī Ṭhākura Prabhupāda Paramahaṃsa Jagat-Guru said that— “Out of the feeling of superiority complex, this kind of horrible tendency of insulting others coming up inside heart.”

He further said that— “ It is my advice to you all that, try to detect personal faults, do not try to find faults with others. Why are you unnecessarily going to take trouble to get control over others? This is my duty because I am playing the role of an Ācārya. Be sure that one can ensure the greatest bondage in his own life in the way of trying to get control over this material world.”

It is the nature of bonded souls, that they never want to be controlled by śuddha Guru-Vaiṣṇavas, rather they always like to be controlled by Māyā Devī. But we want to be controlled completely by śuddha Guru-Vaiṣṇavas, because otherwise no alternative left in front of us in the way of the attainment of Bhagavad-Bhakti.

Śrīla Saccidānanda Bhakti Vinoda Ṭhākura said that— “The way of Bhagavad-bhajana cannot be many, the absolute way is one and the single which as per śāstra is already approved—

tarko ‘pratiṣṭhaḥ śrutayo vibhinnā

nāsāv ṛṣir yasya mataṁ na bhinnam

dharmasya tattvaṁ nihitaṁ guhāyāṁ

mahājano yena gataḥ sa panthāḥ                        (Vana-parva (313.117)

“Logical interpretation cannot stand in the way of that Absolute Truth. Those śrutis, smṛtis, etc. are going to represent The Absolute Truth in such a way that—it seems to be confusing for common people. One such ṛṣi cannot be found, whose opinion cannot differ from the others. The absolutely secret tattva of Bhāgavata-Dharma is hidden secretly out of the reach of all. Only we will have to pay full attention to the way shown by our previous mahājanas.”

The pathway leading to The Godhead cannot be many. There is the only way open before us, which is called Bhāgavata-Dharma-patha or the absolute way shown by our previous Mahā Bhāgavata Mahājanas. Out of a passionate mood, those who always like to open a new pathway to project themselves as great ācāryas, surely they can get destroyed very shortly (before long) together with the newly discovered pathway and all those ācāryas concerned and their followers. Due to lābha-pujā-pratisthā, they are running towards hell. To commit suicide alone is completely a separate issue, but to die together with countless followers is very very dangerous.

From Śrīmad Bhāgavatam (1.1.2) śloka we can see that —

dharmaḥ projjhita-kaitavo’tra paramo nirmatsarāṇāṁ satāṁ

vedyaṁ vāstavam atra vastu śivadaṁ tāpa-trayonmūlanam

śrīmad-bhāgavate mahā-muni-kṛte kiṁ vā parair īśvaraḥ

sadyo hṛdy avarudhyate ’tra kṛtibhiḥ śuśrūṣubhis tat-kṣaṇāt

“Now, to induce the audience in the hearing of Bhāgavatam, the excellence of Bhāgavatam in comparison to all the other scriptures which all are in favor of karma, jñāna & bhakti, is hence being spoken—First of all through Mahāmunī Śrī Nārāyana, the catuh-śloka-Bhāgavatam became manifested. In this Śrīmad Bhāgavataṃ, the pure bhakti-yoga is ascertained, that bhakti-yoga which is the absolute dharma of those sadhus, who are devoid of any envious mood born out of karma & jñāna-kanda, or any mood of intolerance, by watching anybody’s eminence or excellence and who all are merciful towards all living entities. In that absolute envy-free dharma, even there is no place for any fruitive mood or kāma or artha or any desire for any type of muktis like sālokya, etc. By the anuśīlana (hearing, reciting, remembering, etc.) of this book there can be the golden opportunity to realize that advaya jñāna tattva vastu, which is eternally indestructible and which is the cause of absolute blissful realization and the destroyer of avidyā—which is the root cause of all those threefold sufferings by maya, namely—adhyātmika, ādidaivika & ādibhautika. Whereas by the anuśīlana of this Śrīmad Bhāgavataṃ, immediately from that time onwards Śrī Hari gets confined inside the hearts of those envy-free listeners, who have enough sukṛti (favorable towards Bhakti), there in such case – how much or to what extent any other scripture or path can project their respective glories? Which means there is no need to follow any other scripture or path at all. Therefore this Srimad Bhagavatam, which is the best among all other sastras, has to be heard uninterruptedly (with absolute faith).”

The first and foremost qualification needed to get entry into ātma-dharma or Bhāgavat-Dharma is nirmatsaratā (I mean devoid of even any smell of envious mood)— without which all other countless qualities can never allow anyone to get entry into Bhāgavata-Dharma, no doubt in it. Kāma-rupa hṛd-roga (the heart disease in the form of dirty kāma) is the greatest enemy in our life, which can surely destroy our life. No doubt about it. The first śloka from Śrī Upadeśāmṛta by Śrīla Rūpa Gosvāmīpāda can show us the exact scientific qualification of an Ācārya in true sense—who can teach (or chastise) the whole world.

vāco vegam manasaḥ krodha-vegaṃ

jihvā-vegaṃ udaropastha-vegaṃ

etān vegān yo viṣaheta dhīrah

sarvām apī mām pṛthivīm sa śiṣyāt

“A dhīra or an absolutely self controlled person, who can control the urge to speak, the agitation of the mind, the onset of anger, the vehemence of the tongue, the urge of the belly and the agitation of the genitals can instruct the entire world. In other words, such a person is a sannyāsī with body, mind & speech (tridanḍī sannyāsī) and is a Jagat-Guru in true sense.”

At present, who is going to verify whom in this regard?

Srila Saccidānanda Bhakti Vinoda Ṭhākura has written in his article that— “Guru-śiṣya testing etc. topics are already written in Hari-Bhakti-Vilāsa by Śrīla Sanātana Gosvāmīpāda, but no one is going to follow those principles set in those śāstras, so naturally all those countless problems are arising. Those who all are playing the role of Guru in our Gauḍīya Sampradāya—they must keep themselves pure to give dīkśā to others, also before giving dīkśā to others they must be sure about this, that the pot (recipient) of dīkśā is not useless, I mean must be genuine, otherwise falldown of both Guru and śiṣya is a must, so you can see the current prevailing dirty situations of the whole Gauḍīya Vaiṣṇava sampradāya.

Due to aparādha (or specially Nāma-aparādha) one can lose everything, even though he was initiated by some Sat-Guru previously. Symptoms of such a disease of fall down of any such offender can be detected in the following way—

  1. One can lose patience.

  2. No interest for Guru-Vaiṣṇava Sevā at all.

  3. Always can be seen busy protecting personal lābha-pujā-pratisṭhā.

  4. No attention (or interest) can be seen in Nāma-sankīrttana.

  5. No interest can be seen in Harināma japa.

  6. A dirty mood of not giving honor to anybody can be seen.

  7. A mood of superiority complex can be seen.

  8. No attraction (or interest) for vigraha sevā can be seen.

  9. A feeling of depression cover up his heart to make him feel that his bhajana life is useless, though not exposed externally

  10.  No interest in tadīya-vastu (Ganga, Tulasī, Gau-mātā, etc..) sevā.

So according to all the information given openly by you in the internet publicly, we only like to draw the final conclusion (or final account) of those random activities or speeches by Śrīla Bhakti Vedānta Svāmī Mahārāja.

Yes as per your direct information Śrīla Svāmī Mahārāja reduced his chanting to 16 rounds and ultimately did not chant at all for months.

TKG’s Diary: Prabhupada’s Final Days – June 10, 1977

“Gradually, I have seen that Srila Prabhupada is no longer chanting japa on his beads. Many years ago, he was chanting sixty-four rounds, then gradually less, until a number of years ago it was sixteen. But now he does not chant on beads.

TKG’s Diary: Prabhupada’s Final Days – September 16, 1977

“Srila Prabhupada’s condition remained the same today. He was passing sufficient urine, well more than half the quantity of the liquid he consumed. But he seemed to be growing weaker. He began to chant on his japa mala for the first time in many months. In fact, he insisted on always keeping the beads around his neck. Even during his massage, he fingered the beads and silently chanted. His beads also remained around his neck while he slept in his bed.”

Another interesting detail—

TKG’s Diary: Prabhupada’s Final Days – October 16, 1977

“When the kaviraja saw Prabhupada’s very discolored urine, he said the disorder was a type of gonorrhea. The urine contained semen, which could possibly turn into pebble-like substances and completely block the ureter.”

How he developed a sexual disease like ‘Gonorrhoea’—which is a really very very dangerous disease by nature!

If you have the scope to consult ‘Śrī Sikśāstakam by Śrīman Mahāprabhu’ under the strict guidance of Gauḍīya Sat-Guru—then you can find all the negative symptoms (opposite of what Śrīman Mahāprabhu wanted to teach us through The Prabhupāda or Śrīla Saccidānanda Bhakti Vinoda Ṭhākura). Not only that but also if you have the scope to take divine lesson from the ācaraṇa of Sri Namacarya Śrīla Haridāsa Ṭhākura, then you can find how exclusively he was very much interested to do 3 lakhs of Harināma sankhyā (or saṅkīrtana) daily without any fail (apatita Harināma) up to the last moment of his life even after when he was requested by Śrīman Mahāprabhu to do less Harināma sankhyā, so surely which can prove the absolute idealism of a pure Sadhu which was not at all found in the life of Śrīla Svāmī Mahārāja.

Paramahaṃsa Ācāryavarya Śrī Śrīla Bhakti Promoda Purī Gosvāmī Mahārāja also was seen busy with  Harināma japa up to the last moment of his life (even in coma state), which was really surprising for all those doctors & nurses there in Bellevue Nursing Home.

Śrīla Kṛṣṇa Dāsa Bābājī Mahārāja was seen busy with Harināma japa & kīrttana up to the last moment of his life.

Also there is a disciple of Śrīla Bhakti Vedānta Vāmana Gosvāmī Mahārāja whose name is Śrīla Parivrājaka Mahārāja (previously known as Śrī Nitāi Dāsa Brahmacāri) who shares his testimony that— “Often when Śrīla Kṛṣṇa Dāsa Bābā used to come to Śrī Devānanda Gauḍīya Maṭha, in those days, after the Hari-kathā, kīrttana & Mahāprasādaṃ in the night time when all those tired maṭha-vāsī devotees used to go for taking rest in the nāṭya-mandira of the maṭha, in the meantime I saw that almost everybody in the nāṭya-mandira already gone into sleeping condition but amongst all of them Śrīla Bābājī Mahārāja was seen  doing nonstop Harināma saṅkīrttana without taking any rest.

As per Mr. Richard Show Brown (who is a harināma disciple of Śrīla Svāmī Mahārāja and dīkṣā disciple of Śrīla Bhakti Hṛdaya Vana Gosvāmī Mahārāja) also wanted to share his experience with us all what he gathered in his bhajana-life in the following way— “In 1968 Paramahamsa Akincana Krsnadas Babaji Maharaj was staying at Srila Vana Maharaj's Vrindavan Gaudiya Matha, bhajan kutir, which he did every year for 4-5 months at a time before and during the hot season. In the winter he was in Navadvipa. We slept on the roof together many summer nights, and he never went to sleep. Prayers, quiet bhajan and chanting all night long, every night. He was constantly laughing, and he would always say Hare Krsna! with the greatest exuberance I have ever witnessed.”

Also it is well known to us that how exclusively Śrīla Bhakti Rakśaka Śrīdhara Mahārāja was always engaged in Harināma saṅkīrttana and Hari-kathā up to the last moment of his life.

Also it is well known to us that how Śrīla Bhakti Hṛdaya Vana Gosvāmī Mahārāja was engaged in Harināma saṅkīrttana and Hari-kathā up to the last moment of his life.

This way we can give so many examples to prove the idealism and absolute nature of a śuddha Guru-Vaiṣṇava having no mātsarya-bhāva.

Now it is up to you to realize the fact which has been destroyed by Śrīla Svāmī Mahārāja or his organisation – ISKCON society.
